Ravin shines for Thundering Typhons, Assault Ayyannars win a thriller and Zombie Killers edge Villainous Vampires
Ravin's half century steers Thundering Typhons
Thundering Typhons beat Rising Phoenix in a Do-or-die group encounter courtesy an unbeaten half century from its skipper Ravin.
Electing to field first after winning the toss Thundering Typhons got of to a perfect start as their star all rounder Fahed removed the opener of Rising Phoenix in the first over of the match. Soon the 2nd wicket too fell when Rising Phoenix's team score was 10. Rising Phoenix kept on losing regular wickets and skipper Raghu who was looking good with the bat for the first time in BSL 4 was running short of partners. Finally after the fall of 5th wicket Raghu found an able partner in Harsh Mohan Gupta and both put on a partnership of 47 runs for the 6th wicket. Raghu was dismissed after a well made 50. Rising Phoenix ended their innings at 93 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For Typhons pacers Fahed and Shashi picked up 2 wickets each, while Rana, Ashutosh and Soyeb picked up a wicket each.

Any target below 100 runs in a 20-20 over match is usually an easy task, but in BSL 4 every target low or high has been a difficult ask for the chasing side. Thus everybody expected to see an interesting and exciting chase but Typhons openers Ravin and Rishabh made the chase look very easy and comfortable. Both remained calm and played fluent innings as Thundering Typhons reached the target in 14th over without losing a single wicket. Of the two, Rishabh was more calm and less agressive while Ravin was at his attacking best as he hit 7 boundaries and a six. Rising Phoenix bowlers were made to toil hard without an success. Ravin remained unbeaten on 54 of 41 deliveries while Rishabh remained unbeaten on 31 of 43 balls.

Karthik Gopalan stars for Assault Ayyannars
The Masters Group encounter between Assault Ayyannars and Drakon Force turned out to be the most thrilling game till now in BSL 4 as Ayyannars beat Drakon Force by a single run. Karthik Gopalan's brilliant innings proved to be the decisive factor in the outcome of this game.
Electing to bats first after winning the toss Ayyannars lost Ravee, their skipper and top scorer from their previous game very soon in their innings. But Ayyannars batsmen Chethan and Karthik G who looked in good touch in their previous match along with Ravee continued from where they stopped as both batted brilliantly and stitched together a partnership of 88 runs for the second wicket. Chethan was dismissed for 23 runs in 27 balls. Next batsman to come in for Ayyannars was Kishore DK and Karthik soon found a good partner in Kishore and the duo began scoring at a quick rate. Both the batsmen were brutal against the Drakon Force bowlers. After a partnership of 39 runs for 3rd wicket Karthik was dismissed for 68 runs. Karthik's innings included 2 sixes and 10 boundaries. Ayyannars lost 2 more wickets later on and ended their innings on 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Kishore DK remained unbeaten on 38 runs, his innings included 3 boundaries and a six. For Drakon Force, Ronson Ashish was the most impressive bowler as he picked up 2 wickets in his 4 overs and also had 2 maiden overs to his credit, Sekhar Babu picked up a wicket too.
The chase of Drakon force got off to a decent start as both the openers Lennold and Kaushal looked in good touch, just when Lennold was beginning to explode Ayyannars bowler Karthik Y removed him. The fall of 1st wicket saw Kedar Kulkarni joining Kaushal in the middle and both put up a 80 run partnership for 2nd wicket before Kedar was removed. Kaushal too was removed quickly. Kedar was removed for 23 runs and Kaushal was dismissed for run a ball 47. Later Sudarshan too played a handy knock for Drakon Force but eventually fell short by 1 run. Sudarshan's dismissal was the turning point of the match as he was dismissed when he was really looking in good touch and could easily take his team to victory.
Karthik Gopalan was adjudged man of the match for his incredible knock.
Shishir's all round show helps Zombie Killers beat Villainous Vampires
All rounder Shishir BN was the star for Zombie Killers as he stared with both bat and ball to help his side beat Villainous Vampires by 3 runs.
In a yet another low scoring game of BSL 4 Zombie Killers were put into bat first by VV's after their skipper Shankar won the toss. Zombie's responded in style as their openers, Shishir and Wasim yielded 30 runs for the 1st wicket. Shishir looked in good touch and scored couple of boundaries too in his innings of 28 in 33 balls. Bhanuprakash and Suhas were the 2 other batsmen who looked decent with the bat for Zombies as Bhanuprakash contributed 15 runs and Suhas contributed 10 runs to the Zombies team total. Zombies finished their innings on 95 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted overs. Once again it was Praveen S who was the most impressive VV bowler as he picked 3 wickets, Ajinkya and Sameer picked 2 wickets each while Gopi picked a wicket too for the VV's.
VV's got off to a disastrous start while on their chase as they lost 4 quick wickets when the team total was 8 runs including the wicket of their skipper Shankar who was dismissed via a run out even before facing a ball in his innings. After the first 4 quick wickets VV batsmen initiated a strong fightback by stitching together 2 good partnerships for the 5th and 6th wickets. VV batsman Gopi was the best VV batsman on display as he scored 35 runs of 40 balls before being dismissed by Shishir. Tight bowling by Zombie Killers bowling unit, especially the tight spells bowled by Shishir, Jithin and Raushan proved to be the difference as in the end VV's fell short by 3 runs and conceded the match to Zombie Killers.
Shishir BN was awarded man of the match for his all-round performance.
