BSL 4: Zombie Killers vs Griffin Warriors Match Preview

BSL-4 enters the business week of its Round 2 games and by the end of this week, most teams will know where they stand with respect to progressing into the semi-finals. The first match of the week is a very important one for both teams: Zombie Killers and Griffin Warriors. Griffin Warriors desperately need a win to keep any hopes alive of making into the next round as they have no wins to show from their first two games in Round 2. On the other hand, Zombie Killers have won 2 out of their 3 games in the tournament so far but by no measure have they performed at their best.

The stage is set for both teams to bring their A game on Saturday, and more importantly for the big guns in both teams to fire. Griffin Warriors will be banking on Nav Krishna, their most experienced player and mentor, to fire. Nikhil Virupakshi has been in good bowling form, but Griffin Warriors will need his big hitting too. Siddharth Varmen, the captain himself, will be eager to fire with both bat and ball and will be hoping for an all-in-all team effort.
Zombie Killers have been in great bowling form but it's their batting that has failed to click as a unit. They will want to change that come this Saturday. Shishir, Zombie Killers’ superstar all-rounder, arguably one of the best in the tournament, is due a big knock and the team will be hoping that it will come this Saturday. Vivek, the intimidating MMA fighter, has been threatening in parts but has not been able to deliver the knockout punch. He has vowed to change that. Nagraj has been good with both bat and ball, and the team will need him to continue his good form. Captain Raushan will be expecting his other players to rise to the occasion.

With all 22 players fighting for every inch, it is going to be an exciting game of cricket.
