On song Bhargav Vishal scalps six as Griffin Warriors register their first win of BSL 4

What promised to be an exciting game of cricket turned out to be a one-sided affair through and through. Griffin Warriors went into this game desperately needing a win to keep their hopes alive of making it to the next round. Zombie Killers just needed a win to ensure they were well placed to move to the next round. By the end of the game, the tables had completely turned around. Griffin Warriors not only secured two points from the game but also managed to go from a negative run rate of -2.6115 to a healthy run rate of 0.3387 in one game. Such was the humiliating defeat that Zombie Killers suffered at the hands of Griffin Warriors.
Things started off well for Zombie Killers with their Captain winning the toss and electing to bowl first. Zombie Killers pinned their hopes on their seam attack to exploit the overcast conditions but underestimated the role that dew was about to play. A wet ball meant that the seamers could not do much with the ball and batsman found it easy with the ball …

Avinash, Gaurav help Centaurs clinch a thriller against Assault Ayyanars

The first match of BSL's 4th Sunday was a mouth watering clash between table toppers The Centaurs (TCs) and the team ranked second on the 'Masters group' table Assault Ayyanars (AAs) and it definitely lived up to its billing. Both teams came into the match after recording confidence boosting victories in their last game and had won 2 out of 2 matches in the Master's group. Both teams were without some key men with the Assault Ayyanars missing mercurial all-rounder Kishore DK and The Centaurs missing their skipper and frontline fast bowler Bharath Sequeira. In Bharath's absence, the "wily old fox", BCG President, Prashanth Menon was leading The Centaurs.
Choosing to bat first on a wet early morning surface, The Centaurs started on the backfoot as they lost attacking opening batsman and last match's Man of the Match Raghuraman for a duck in the first over. Anand Velu, promoted up the order to No. 3, and Avinash BM responded with a couple of swashbuckling…

ISL 2017: Bengaluru FC score an easy 4-1 win over Delhi Dyanmos

Bengaluru Fc off to a flying start in their opening season in the ISL. Defeated two of last year's semi-finalists in consecutive matches, that too in emphatic manner. The moment this game started, Bengaluru gave Delhi no chance whatsoever. Were always on the front foot and backed their good displays with a couple of goals in the first half from Erik Paartalu who scored two brilliantly headed goals . That lead was extended in the second with Lenny Rodrigues scoring a rare goal. The Dynamos got some luck late in the second half as they earned a penalty which Kalu Uche scored, but that small moment of happiness was cancelled out with Miku's stunning individual brilliance.

As the Club Award is evidently won by Bengaluru FC, the Swift Moment of the Match is handed to Lenny Rodrigues for his goal, which was Bengaluru's third. The Winning Pass of the Match is given to Harmanjot Khabra for setting up Paartalu's first goal of the game. While the Fittest Player of the Match is U…

BSL 4: Raghuraman's super knock helps Centaurs prevail over Sphinx Samaraveeras

It was a must win game for the Sphinx Samaraveeras to keep their hopes alive in the tournament whereas the Centaurs were coming back from their victory against Ravana Sena.
In the absence of Bharath S the Centaurs skipper , the Centaurs were led by the wily old fox Prashant Menon.

The Centaurs won the toss and decided to bat first. It was a new opening combination for the Centaurs as it was Raghuraman who joined regular opener Avinash and both played themselves in on a tricky pitch and helped the Centaurs get a great start. Infact it was the best start for the Centaursand was going strong. The Sphinx captain Dilip tried his ace bowlers to get him a wicket. But the magic of Ankit, Rakesh, Karthik, or Bharat J didn't work. The Sphinx were able to keep a check on the run rate with some tight bowling by the spinners Nikhil and Bharat J. In search of the wicket, Dilip bought him self in and was eventually successful in breaking the 85 run first wicket partnership as he dismissed Avinash.…

Bengaluru Fc makes a grand entry into ISL 2017 with a 2-0 victory over Mumbai City FC

It was a great debut for Bengaluru Fc as they beat Mumbai City FC 2-0 in their first ever ISL game. It was a brilliant show from the Bengaluru side as they dominated Mumbai City FC throughout the game. The first half was very much on a slower side as both the teams were trying to play safe although they were some very few brilliant gameplay from the hosts.

The first half was a goalless affair, but the second half saw a completely different approach from the Bengaluru side as they were completely on the attack in the second half. The relentless attack from the Bengaluru side finally found success when their foreign import Edu Garcia managed to score the first goal for the Bengaluru side in the 67th minute of the match.
